Toddler Program (16 Months – 3 Years)
Supporting Growing Self-Awareness in a Nurturing Environment
Our Toddler Program meets the unique needs of children from approximately 16 months (and walking) to 3 years old. We provide a warm, home-like environment designed to support key developmental milestones through two intentional stages:
The Toddler House (16–30 Months)
Designed for emerging independence and natural curiosity, this space features appropriately sized furniture and a gentle rhythm of eating, sleeping, and purposeful activity. Children engage in “real work,” including:
-
Practical Life: Food preparation, table setting, and dishwashing.
-
Self-Care: Sweeping, dressing, and toilet learning.
-
Development: Puzzles, blocks, and language-rich storytelling/song.
Toddler Transition (30–36 Months)
This stage serves as a bridge to our Preschool program. As toddlers seek greater challenges, they move into classrooms that foster deeper concentration and confidence.
-
Engage with complex materials that prepare them for the Primary classroom.
-
Develop autonomy in caring for themselves and their surroundings.
-
Maintain a balance of hands-on learning and consistent support.
Connection with Nature
Every toddler classroom has a dedicated outdoor garden space. Children spend time daily watering plants, digging, and observing insects. This is supplemented by daily play in our large play park—rain or shine—to support gross motor development and a respect for the natural world.
Tuition & Enrollment
Class Size: Limited to 10–12 toddlers per class.
Waitlist: Our program is highly popular; we recommend inquiring one year in advance.
Preschool / Primary Program (3–6 Years)
Nurturing Independence and Abstract Thinking
In our Montessori Primary program, children engage in purposeful activities that fuel their drive toward self-mastery. Our mixed-age classrooms allow younger children to learn from peers, while older children develop leadership skills by mentoring others.
The Montessori Curriculum
-
Practical Life: Building responsibility through real-world tasks like pouring, food prep, and practicing “grace and courtesy.”
-
Sensorial Exploration: Using materials that isolate texture, shape, and sound to build the neural pathways necessary for math, science, and geometry.
-
Academic Foundations: Carefully arranged indoor spaces offer inviting materials for language, geography, art, and music, allowing children to progress at their own pace.
The “Outdoor Classroom”
Each Preschool classroom features an adjoining garden tailored by the guide to reflect the students’ interests.
-
Hands-on Work: Planting vegetables, caring for flowers, and using real tools.
-
Daily Movement: In addition to garden work, children enjoy daily time in our spacious playpark.
-
All-Weather Play: We explore the outdoors in all seasons. Families are asked to provide appropriate gear to ensure comfort year-round.
The Kindergarten Year
The third year of this cycle (the “Leadership Year”) is when previous learning crystallizes into abstract understanding, preparing children for the transition to elementary education with confidence and resilience.
Tuition & Enrollment
Community Size: To maintain a vibrant, mixed-age social dynamic, classes are capped at 25 students.
Waitlist: Our Primary program is fully enrolled for the 2026-2027 school year. However, we are always accepting applications for the 2027-2028 school year and beyond. We encourage families to apply early to secure a place on our waitlist.
